Events DC Hosts First Community Meeting in Ward 8 to Engage the Community in the Planning Efforts Surrounding the Entertainment and Sports Arena 
 
What:  
Events DC will host its first meeting with the Ward 8 community regarding the proposed Entertainment and Sports Arena.  The purpose of the meeting is to serve as an introduction to the Ward 8 community, explain the roles of the organizations involved, provide a brief summary of the project, and initiate our community engagement for the Entertainment and Sports Arena project. The meeting will also encourage and allow the community to share their feedback and ideas in an open forum.
 
Within a broader redevelopment effort of the St. Elizabeths’ campus in Ward 8, the Entertainment and Sports Arena will be an innovative and unique venue that will help spur greater economic opportunities for residents and help create wider pathways to other communities across the District.

The R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center is located at the 3rd gate on the St. Elizabeths East Campus.  The Center is also accessible via Metro on Green Line at Congress Heights.
