Politics Isn’t the Only Game in Town: Events DC and Washington Business Journal Host Second Annual Business of Sports Summit on May 9

Summit Will Showcase Distinguished Sports Business Professionals

(WASHINGTON, DC) – May 4, 2017 – The Washington Business Journal in collaboration with Events DC, the city’s official convention and sports authority, will host a panel of influential sports industry leaders for the second annual Business of Sports summit at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

WHAT: The 2017 Business of Sports summit is divided into two parts: a featured interview and a panel discussion. The featured interview will explore the intricacies of negotiating collective bargaining agreements on behalf of athletes and advising players as they become more socially and politically active, while the panel discussion examines how modern athletes effectively manage their personal brand and business endeavors on and off the field.
